Nia Williams

Nia Williams is a young, spunky, bright and talented 29-year-old Atlanta
native working in the world of public relations and communications as
TobinInk.’s Manager of Media Relations. She previously served in local
government at the City of Douglasville, Georgia, as Communications
Assistant for the Community Relations Department. At the City working,
she began her career as a Special Projects Assistant, assisting various
departments, including Parks & Recreation, with events, projects,
marketing and more, before pursuing her passion: Communications.

 

Nia earned her Bachelor of Arts from University of Memphis in broadcast
journalism with a minor in French. During her time in college, she gained
experience as a writer for the Daily Helmsman newspaper and found her
voice as an anchor for Tiger News and as on-air personality (Imani in the
Afternoon) for the university’s jazz radio station WUMR 91.7. She also
studied abroad, learning about journalism practices and taking French
courses at l’Université Catholique de Lille in Lille, France.

 

After returning to Atlanta, she volunteered for Bloom Our Youth, a non-
profit foster care organization, as a recruitment and communications
intern. In addition to being a public servant, Nia has had opportunities to
curate and indulge in her passion of journalism through being a freelance
writer and has been published in the Georgia Municipal Association GA
Cities Magazine. She’s also a 2023 Georgia Forward Young Gamechanger
alumna.

 

Nia is a brand-new homeowner and resides in Fayetteville, Georgia. When
she’s not working, Nia enjoys being a part-time nanny, being able to spend
time with friends and family, exploring new places (especially restaurants)
in Atlanta, traveling the world and being a self-care and mental health
advocate.
