Sigele Winbush provides expertise and collaborative services in the areas of public relations, strategic communications, civic engagement and special events. Her experience has spanned industries and sectors over the past 15 years.

Sigele is the former director of public relations for Atlanta Ballet, the oldest ballet company in the country. She worked on a series of high-profile public-policy projects as an associate of Ahmann. Inc., a prominent Atlanta public affairs agency. She was the founding communications director for Westside Future Fund, a transformative public-private partnership initiative to preserve and revitalize four historic, intown Atlanta neighborhoods. 

 

In 2016, Sigele fulfilled a lifelong dream with the launch of her public relations consultancy, Sigele Winbush Consulting (SWC). 

 

Crafting full-spectrum public relations programs. Creating unique brand-experience events. Capturing quality media attention and coverage. Overseeing focused, purposeful public outreach meetings. Crisp messaging. Compelling materials. Support to organizations facing crises.

Her professional experience also spans associations with HL Strategy, The Collaborative Firm, Argonne Parades, the Barkley Russell Agency and Planners for Environmental Quality (PEQ). With these organizations, Sigele worked with media, planned events and mapped logistics for a variety of projects and organizations: Fort McPherson Redevelopment Authority; Shaw Industries; City of East Point; MARTA’s 2006 Beltline Feasibility Study; Grand Opening of Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre; Grand Opening of Georgia International Convention Center; the WSB-TV Salute 2 America Fourth of July Parade.

Sigele is a member of the 2019 class of LEAD Atlanta, the region’s premier young professionals’ community leadership program. 
 

In 2014, she was among the "30 Under 30" named by the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network Atlanta and Georgia Center for Nonprofits and participated in the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Arts Leaders of Metro Atlanta (ALMA) program.

 

Sigele currently serves on the boards of the Black Public Relations Society, Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre and the Urban Youth Harp Ensemble. She’s a former board member of the National Hampton Alumni Association – Atlanta chapter, the Old National Merchants Association and the League of Women Voters of Georgia.
