Abi is fueled by connecting people and their passions with purpose, especially through community engagement and philanthropy. Abi has worked in the nonprofit sector since she moved to Atlanta in 2002. Using her decades of experience and strengths in communications and development, she has served in a variety of roles at environmental, education and justice-focused organizations.  

Abi skillfully crafts strategy and drives communications tactics to meet specific audience needs, cultivate resources and engage local communities in improving quality of life. Shifting gears to focus on more systemic work, Abi most recently served as the Director of Development for law & policy organization Georgia Appleseed for five years. Alongside guiding and empowering clients to better fulfill their missions, she is currently pursuing a graduate degree from the University of Florida, her alma mater, with a specialization in public interest communications.

She has played an active role in local community service in Atlanta, volunteering over the years with Cool Girls, The Nature Conservancy, EarthShare of Georgia and ChantLanta Sacred Music Festival. Currently she serves on the Board of the Sandy Spring Conservancy.  

Abi and her husband live in Sandy Springs with their rescue pup. She enjoys spending time with her family, practicing yoga and being in nature.
